Wellness for People who Dance to Their Own Beat

The things that make you different are your best traits. Your wellness practices should serve all your unique parts. Not only that, they should help you embody and celebrate your beauty and worthiness.

Wellness isn’t about changing who you are. It’s about understanding and caring for yourself. And giving yourself more choices and chances to thrive.

There is no “one size fits all” approach to well being. The best way to practice being in connection is the way that works for you. You are the expert on being in your body and mind. In this space, you are always treated as such.

Let’s explore how your practices can better meet your needs together!

What You Can Expect from My Offerings

Thoughtful and Intentional Communication

My goal in communication is to listen deeply, validate and empower.

I use gender-neutral language. I’m mindful about making assumptions and generalizations about people’s experience and anatomy.

I acknowledge the fact that some people have a hard sitting still and being quiet. That being present might not be accessible and safe to everyone. I won’t pretend that growth is easy. I’m not shy about naming and holding space for the challenges we face individually and collectively.

Justice-oriented, Person-centered Values

All of my offerings are designed with the needs of neurodivergent, disabled and folks with marginalized identities in mind.

You’re not a customer; you are a valued friend. I long to build deep meaningful relationships and communities, not wealth. I will never pressure you to buy anything. Your presence is a gift that I treasure. I appreciate whatever you can contribute and respect what you can’t.

Life is expensive. I offer sliding scale payment for every service. I regularly host free offerings and give away goodies in my newsletter.

A Commitment to Agency and Consent

I don’t actually tell anyone what to do because I don’t know what you should do. And I don’t pretend to. Instead, I offer suggestions and choices for every activity that I facilitate. Choose the one(s) that feel best for you.

What if none of them feel good? Do something else. Wiggle. Stim. Or do nothing at all. That is welcome here.

Need to leave suddenly? You’re welcome to do so whenever and however often you need to. No explanations needed. Camera and/or chat participation is never required.

Accessibility and Sensory Considerations

I work hard to both give options and be concise to not overwhelm. I don’t play music during my meditation and movement classes. Instead, I provide playlists that you can listen to and alter the volume and content as you please.

I provide explanations and instructions in many formats. Audio recordings of meditations and classes are available for those don’t like video. I’m

All my content has captions available, alt text and screen reader compatibility. I am always looking for more ways to accommodate others. I welcome feedback and requests!

What if I’m Not Neurodivergent?

We’re all unique people who deserve adaptive practices, regardless of our neurotype! If you’re interested in exploring gentle, choiceful movement, you’re in the right place. If you’d like to explore your creativity and ways of being in community, you are welcome here.

Additionally, neurodiversity encompasses much more than ADHD and Autism. You may be surprised to know that many common challenges are considered neurodivergence.

This article by See Me Neurodiverse explains some of the types of neurodiversity.
