Craft Workshop

Sculpt your own miniature rabbit figurines from your choice of clay. The finished pieces shown in the photo are approximately 1.5 inches tall, but this project can be scaled as desired. Options for creating variations in appearance will be demonstrated alongside basic sculpting techniques. We will also cover preparation and painting pieces after baking, for adding details or when using only one color of clay.

Materials List

Necessary:

  • Polymer clay (sculpey, fimo or any similar brand), alternatively you can use any air dry clay of your choice
  • An oven safe surface for baking
  • An oven or toaster oven if using polymer clay
  • Clay sculpting tools or toothpicks for shaping

Recommended:

  • Aluminum foil
  • Rubber-tipped clay smoothing tools for cleaning up imperfections
  • Model paint (enamel) or nail polish, if using only one color clay or adding details
  • Nail polish remover if using paint
