Weekly Movement

Make time for a self-check in and movement without leaving the comfort of your couch. This gentle yoga class uses the shape of your couch as a prop for a short series of movements and postures.

You can also take this class on your bed or a mat. Options are provided for both a purely seated experience and a seated/standing hybrid practice, based on the preference of the participant. All levels of experience and participation are welcome!

Location: Class is provided virtually, via Google Meet – Link is sent through email upon registration

Session Length: 45 minutes

Pricing: Sliding Scale – $4 – $8 – $12 + free for folx in financial need

Participation: Whatever you are most comfortable with! Cameras, voice or chat interaction and/or using your real name are not required. Join and leave at any time, no questions asked. All activities presented during this offering are optional!

Activity Level: Mild to Moderate, based on options chosen

Props: Nothing other than a couch, chair, bed, mat or soft portion of floor for sitting and laying – blankets, pillows, blocks and other comfort items may be useful for enhancing your experience but are not required!

Noticing your surroundings, your body and your breath
1:07 PM – Joint Mobility & Warmups (10 min)
Waking up each part of your body with gentle movement
1:17 PM – Movement Sequence (15 min)
A series of poses and movement suggestions to repeat 1-3 times
1:32 PM – Cool Down, Meditation & Intentions (10 min)
Longer holds and slower movements, optional moment of reflection
1:42 PM – Gratitude, Closing & Goodbyes (3 min)
